Get this straight… I do not want to run the 2008 Pasadena Marathon. But I have a problem: peer pressure from Ryan and Hope … and a detailed, sensible, well-thought-out five-month training schedule put together by Eric and Jeff have me almost convinced that I will run it. Week #1 of the training schedule starts…

Scrabble Comeback
I got a Scrabble rematch from Mama tonight. She and Bel both buried me a couple of nights ago, but I had a better go of it this time. Note: we caught the misspelling of “premiers” many moves after it was put down. It went from my “prim” to Mama’s “primier”, at which point I…

The variation: Joe…
Coyote Fracas
The Trip Late last Saturday afternoon, Kaelyn and I took the dogs for an off-leash hike at an area east of Pasadena in the dry bed of the San Gabriel River. Partway through the hike, Kaelyn got a phone call from Amy, somewhat distressed over an incident Amy’s beagle-mix, Annie, had just been involved in:…
