Beth and I met Spyros at the Upper Arroyo Seco parking lots near the east entrance to JPL<\/a> to try our fat-tire eBikes on Fern Truck Trail and Brown Mountain Truck Trail, which hikers and \u2013 especially \u2013 mountain bikers enjoy. This route had a more friendly elevation profile than our Mount Lowe Railway Trail<\/a> ride from last month, and the temperature stayed much cooler too, so there was not too much strain on our electric-assist systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The GPS unit stopped recording just when we turned left off of Fern Truck Trail and onto Brown Mountain Truck Trail, so it did cannot say exactly where I spilled hard taking the wrong line through a right-hand curve. Missing from the route linked below: we continued down to Chaney Trail and out via Loma Alta and Altadena Drives to our starting point.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I made sure to replace my helmet following its successful defense of my brainpan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
